Hydraulic lifters must completely absorb the gaps located between the working surfaces of the rockers of the rocker arm and the camshaft, valves, rods, regardless of the temperature regime, as well as the level of wear of parts. However, sometimes there may be a blockage inside the parts and in this case they need to be pumped.

Instructions

Step 1

Please note that the hydraulic lifter is located between the end of the valve and the tappet. Remove the car engine cover, immediately clean the crankcase ventilation valve with a special carb spray.

Step 2

Plug the spark plug wells with cleaning material (rags). Then take a screwdriver and pry the part above the hydraulic lifter with it. After that, carefully pull it off the hydraulic compensator and do not be alarmed if this part falls out from you (it is very easy to put back).

Step 3

Remove the hydraulic lifter with pliers. It should come out very easily.

Step 4

Make a simple device that you need for pumping - prepare a syringe and put a dropper on it. Use SHUMMA for cleaning. Pour this substance into the syringe (foam should appear, but then it will turn into a liquid).

Step 5

Slide the opposite end of the dropper onto the hydraulic lifter - where it has a hole. Then start pumping it, simply pushing the syringe so that this agent ("SHUMMA") is inside the hydraulic lifter. You can do this several times, then you can blow it with a carb spray. Please note that while you are pumping the hydraulic lifter, liquid should flow from its side hole.

Step 6

Take the next step for prevention. To do this, place the hydraulic compensator in a container filled with SHUMMA. Then leave it in this position for an hour to "soak", and then repeat the pumping procedure.

Step 7

Remember that hydraulic lifters are non-separable parts, so you will not be able to pour oil into it. That is why repeat the pumping procedure once again, only not with the "SHUMMA" agent, but with oil. Then put the hydraulic lifter in a small container filled with oil for an hour. Then take it out and pump it again.
