For a long time now, bringing cars from abroad has become not just a business, but a special way of life. By and large, this is always a gamble: it is not known whether a car will be bought, even if it is made to order, it is not known what difficulties await at customs, etc. Nevertheless, cars are imported into the country, including from Poland.
Instructions
Step 1
Obtain a visa and declare to the Polish customs officers about the amount of national and foreign money you bring in if it exceeds 10,000 euros.
Step 2
If you do not know the Polish language, the order of acquisition, the nature of the Poles and some other points, look for a competent travel companion. Before traveling, check with customs about how you will make your purchase, whether there are any restrictions and benefits, as well as changes in the rules.
Step 3
Learn to calculate the toll. Don't forget that the new duties have come into force. Not everyone can afford to drive a car over five years old, and even with a powerful engine.
Step 4
Purchase a car catalog, where you can determine the engine size of a future purchase, since the duty after 2, 2 liters rises sharply.
Step 5
Be sure to make a copy of the registration certificate, because the original will remain at customs. Also familiarize yourself with the service book, which is usually found in the cabin in the "glove compartment" (glove box).
Step 6
Keep in mind that either the store's stamp or the signature of a notary must be affixed to the purchase and sale agreement. Be sure to buy insurance (it insures damage to third parties), having previously found out where it will be cheaper.
Step 7
You will purchase all the necessary things for your car: a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, an emergency sign, a cable.
Step 8
Keep in mind that there are still numbers of the previous owner on the car, but you must go with transit numbers, although getting them is troublesome and expensive.
Step 9
For safety reasons, stop as little as possible, even better get fellow travelers. Most of the time, cases of racketeering happen near borders, but they can be everywhere.
