AvtoVAZ has presented a new sedan Lada Vesta, which will be launched in September 2015. The novelty will replace the Priora lineup. The appearance of the production version will be made in the new corporate style of the concern. The conceptual Lada XRay is taken as the basis for the image of the new Lada Vesta model.
The car is designed on the basis of a new V / S platform, which has not been used in any production model of the AvtoVAZ concern so far. The platform was developed by the company's specialists together with Renault-Nissan specialists.
The wheelbase of the new Lada Vesta sedan is 2 635 mm, which is 143 mm more than that of the Priora car. Overall length of the vehicle - 4410 mm, height 1497 mm. Depending on the modification, the curb weight of the car ranges from 1150 to 1195 kg.
The top version of the car will be equipped with a standard multimedia system located on the center console, a multifunction steering wheel and a completely updated dashboard with three wells. The new car features L-arm front suspension. The rear semi-independent suspension is borrowed from one of the Renault models.
In addition, the Lada Vesta car received a number of technical solutions from the Renault-Nissan alliance models concerning the braking system and radiator. The novelty differs from domestic cars by the possibility of adjusting the steering column for reach.
The model is planned to be produced with an engine displacement of 1, 6 liters. The basic configuration of the car will be equipped with an 87 hp engine. and 8 valves. The line will also include 106 and 114 hp engines. from. with 16 valves. It is planned to equip cars with a 5-speed manual transmission, and an engine with a capacity of 106 hp. will also be available with a robotic gearbox.
The vehicle will be equipped with an emergency response system in case of an accident - "Era-Glonass". This option will be available even in the basic version of the model.
