Step 1
The first step is to check the pressure in the tires every day before a trip, to do a visual inspection of the disks and the tires themselves. If you cannot do this check every day, then be sure to check the car at least once a week, especially if you are driving a long distance, as the tire pressure is slowly decreasing day by day.

The tire pressure should be measured using a special pressure gauge, which is of various types: dial, mechanical and electronic with a digital display. The latter are the most accurate and some of them provide measurement accuracy up to ± 0.055 bar. And do not forget that the tire pressure check is done in "cold tires", because in a "hot tire", depending on the speed, distance and load, the air pressure can increase up to 10%. Therefore, you should never bleed hot tires immediately after stopping your vehicle, otherwise the air pressure in “cold tires” will be comparatively low after a few hours.

If your car has stood in one place for at least two hours or drove no more than 1.6 km after a long stop, then its tires can be called "cold". Also, unequal distribution of air pressure in the tires can cause an unpredictable reaction of your car to the steering input, and different pressures in the tires and on different axles of the car can lead to unexpected "drift" of the car to the left or right, depending on where the pressure is lower …

Remember the most important thing: it is necessary to check the pressure in winter tires after your car was in a warm garage and it is advisable to increase it by 0.2 atmospheres, because when leaving a warm room, the car will get into the street, where the tire "cools" and the pressure in it will be less. Also maintain the air pressure in the spare tire in case of an unexpected replacement. All this is done for your safety on the road.
