Modern rear-view mirrors can be divided into three types: The first type is simple mirrors. These are the usual mirrors inside the cabin and at the side front windows. There are mirrors with LEDs. They are installed on large vehicles, such as trucks, which move more often at night than during the day. The LED does not so much improve the quality of the image in the mirror as it enables oncoming cars to determine the dimensions of your car. And the third type is mirrors with built-in video for beginner car enthusiasts and those who prefer jeeps and SUVs. Obviously, each type of mirror has its own peculiarities when installed.
Step 2
Before installation, try on a simple salon rear-view mirror to the glass, you can use double-sided tape. Your task is to find a place on the glass where the mirror will give the fullest possible volume of the view.
Step 3
Mark the attachment point with a chemical pencil or an unstable marker.
Step 4
Remove the film from the factory mirror mount and press the mirror firmly against the glass. Do not set up the mirror right away, wait at least half an hour.
Step 5
Mirrors with LEDs are installed in the same way, but the installation and adjustment of mirrors with cameras should be entrusted to the salon masters. Firstly, the camera requires additional wiring and adjustment, and secondly, two people need to adjust such a mirror.
Step 6
When adjusting the side mirrors, first get behind the wheel. The left edge of the rear bumper should be within the view of the mirror. With the correct setting, you will not have dead zones, and the view will be maximum.
Step 7
With regard to the installation of parabolic mirrors, everything is somewhat controversial. The view of such a mirror will significantly increase, but it will be difficult to determine the distance to the object. You will need to get used to it before actively using it.
