A car seat is a mandatory attribute when transporting children in a car. There are two ways to attach such devices. One of them using standard belts, and the other using the IsoFix system.
Instructions
Step 1
The universal method involves fastening with three-point belts, but it is very complicated and more than half of the seats are installed incorrectly. Each age group of seats has its own installation nuances. Seat belts of groups 0+ and 0 + 1 require long enough seat belts, so before buying such seats, measure their length, and if it is less than two meters, refuse to buy.
Step 2
In group 1, a useful function is the seat belt tensioning system. Therefore, you can effortlessly fasten the seat. Seat group 2-3 does not have internal belts. Here the child is fastened with a standard seat belt in the car.
Step 3
The IsoFix system eliminates all the disadvantages when attaching standard seats. Install two expanders on special brackets if necessary. Then remove the brackets from the seat and install the seat in the car. If you decide to install a child airbag that could injure the child if deployed.
Step 4
Carefully align the locks with the brackets, then bring the car seat as close as possible to the back of the car seat. Having heard a characteristic click, check if the color of the fastening indicator has changed from red to green, which serves as a signal that the locks are correctly connected to the brackets.
Step 5
Then install the anchor strap, which additionally secures the back of the chair. Adjust the foot stop so that it fits snugly against the floor of the vehicle interior. Also, the correct adjustment can be judged by the indicator: it will change from red to green. Remember that for safety reasons, the seats are placed in the direction of the vehicle's movement, and the cradles with infants are placed against the direction of travel.
