Instructions
Step 1
Provide the traffic police with a package of the following documents: vehicle registration certificate, your passport and driver's license.
Step 2
Pay the state duty for passing the technical inspection of the vehicle. The receipt of payment of the duty and a receipt confirming the payment of tax on this vehicle must be presented to the traffic police. If you own a car with a trailer, you will also need to pay for its inspection.
Step 3
Submit the vehicle directly for inspection. It must be in good working order, complete with an appropriate first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and an emergency stop sign. If a truck with a permissible weight of more than 3.5 tons or a bus with a permissible mass of more than 5 tons passes the inspection, then at least a pair of wheel chocks will be required.
Step 4
If in the course of instrumental control malfunctions are found, a re-inspection should be carried out only in relation to faulty components and assemblies. It should pass no later than ten days after the primary.
Step 5
After completing the instrumental inspection, contact the traffic police department again in order to check the documents, verify the numbers and get a technical inspection coupon.
Step 6
If during the inspection it was revealed that the vehicle does not comply with any of the traffic safety requirements, this vehicle is considered to be faulty and its operation is prohibited.
Step 7
When preparing for the inspection, check that there is a fire extinguisher, an emergency stop sign, and that the contents of the first-aid kit meet all the requirements. Make sure that the windows and wipers are functioning, that the bulbs are working properly, check the seat belts and the sound signals. Pay attention to the door locks and steering wheel play.
