A driving license of category B gives the right to drive a car with a carrying capacity of up to 3.5 tons and having up to eight passenger seats in the cabin. To become its owner, you need to pass an exam at the traffic police after a course in a driving school or self-training, if in the region where you are registered it is accepted as an external student.
It is necessary
- - certificate of passing the driver's medical examination;
- - photos;
- - receipts for payment of state fees;
- - a completed package of documents for submission to the traffic police;
- - knowledge of the rules of the road;
- - services of a driving school or instructor.
Instructions
Step 1
If your choice is a driving school, you must start by choosing it carefully. Study the reviews of other students (they can be found, in particular, in various local forums, both specialized for motorists and general topics), visit several nearby institutions of this kind. Find out what is included in the cost of services and what you will have to pay for.
If possible, also find out what the percentage of successful first-time passes by graduates of driving schools of interest (these statistics may be published in local newspapers, but not always).
Step 2
Before enrolling you in a group, the driving school will ask for a medical certificate. Often it can be passed for a fee directly at the educational institution itself. Otherwise, you can contact any medical center that provides this service.
Step 3
The driving school course consists of two parts: theory and practical driving on the site and in the city. In self-study, you will have to learn the theory (traffic rules) on your own. And practice driving skills with a private instructor (preferably on a car with parallel pedals, especially at the very first stage of training) or a very experienced driver.
It will not be superfluous to additionally practice in passing the theoretical part of the exam and during training in a driving school. This can be done using the website of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation or any regional traffic police department. Online tests are presented on many other resources.
Step 4
Practice shows that two weeks are enough for an independent study of the theory, provided that daily lessons are not less than two hours each. With driving, everything is individual: for some, ten hours behind the wheel is enough, and for others, a hundred is not enough.
If you are confident in yourself, you can go to the exam. Usually a driving school is involved in organizing it for its students. All you need to do is fill out the paperwork, pay the state fees and appear at the traffic police department on the appointed day. In case of self-preparation, you will have to go there yourself, get and fill out the necessary documents and pay the fees through Sberbank or the terminal.
Step 5
Further away from you, in both cases, it is required to successfully pass the theoretical part of the exam and demonstrate skillful driving on the site and city streets.
After that, the coveted rights are yours.
