People often prefer used cars. The main reason is that there is not enough money to buy a new car. But there is another option: some people who have recently graduated from a driving school prefer to drive a cheap car first, and then, having gained experience, switch to a new, more expensive car.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine in advance the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the car, as well as your basic requirements. These requirements may relate to the type of body, the dimensions of the vehicle, its make, the location of the steering wheel, the type of drive, etc. This will help you narrow your search. Then, on websites or in newspapers, find some of the most interesting options, call the sellers and make an appointment.
Step 2
Take several people with you to inspect the vehicle. First, what one does not notice can be seen by another, so the assessment of the car will be more accurate. Secondly, thanks to helpers, you will be able to make the right decision without succumbing to pressure from the seller.
Step 3
Pay attention to the seller's behavior. Believe me, this is really very important. If the driver refuses to answer questions about the shortcomings of the car and only praises it, if he does not allow you to inspect the car, draws attention to some of its parts and distracts from others, you should not buy goods from this person.
Step 4
Even worse, if the seller provokes you by claiming that if you buy the car immediately, they will give you a discount. Most likely, this is an unscrupulous, dishonest person who wants to quickly get rid of a bad car.
Step 5
Inspect the vehicle very carefully. See if there are any freshly painted areas. The color mismatch between old and new paint is almost always noticeable, especially in good lighting conditions. By the way, it is for this reason that it is worth inspecting the car during the day and not in the evening. If there are such areas, ask what happened to the car, why the repair was needed and what exactly was done.
Step 6
Pay attention to the geometry of the body. Distortions are visible even to the naked eye. As a rule, this is a sign of a badly repaired upside-down car, i.e. car that overturned as a result of an accident. If the geometry of the body is disturbed, at least problems may arise when opening and closing doors, hood, trunk, etc. Also pay particular attention to the width of the gaps in these areas.
