Step 1
Remove the negative terminal of the battery. To remove the wipers, turn them vertically, disconnect the nuts that attach the wipers to the rotating mechanism. Complete disassembly and disassembly of the wipers.
Step 2
Inspect the springs of the brushes. If they have lost their elasticity or are damaged, replace the brushes with new ones. Check brush holder. Pay attention to the smooth movement of the brushes and their ease of movement. Found chips and other signs of wear, even if there is effective work at the moment, indicate an imminent failure of the brushes.
Step 3
Prepare a fine skin and clean the manifold. Scratches, risks and other signs of defectiveness affect the correct operation of the part. In case of severe wear, it is recommended to replace the entire gearbox with electric motor assembly.
Step 4
Check the operation of the collector armature separately. If it sticks or works unevenly, while making a howling sound, it can be cleaned with a fine sandpaper. However, as practice shows, it is better to replace such an anchor as well.
Step 5
Check the operation of the gear wheel. Broken or defective teeth indicate that the part is not working. The wiper rods are the next piece to tweak. They bend from long use, so they need to be straightened. If you cannot do this, buy new link assemblies.
Step 6
Another problematic place that needs to be examined is the contacts of the wiper mechanism, which are responsible for their automatic stop. Take the fine sandpaper again and clean the burnt contacts. Pay particular attention to all rubber seals. Pay attention to cracks, abrasions of parts; the lack of elasticity also indicates that it is better to replace it with a new one without waiting for the defective operation of the part.
