The carburetor engine, in comparison with the injection engine, has a simpler design. Therefore, all the improvements required to improve dynamics will not require significant financial and labor costs, equipment and engineering knowledge.

Instructions

Step 1

Flush and carefully adjust the carburetor first. Disassemble it into parts, conduct a thorough troubleshooting of all parts. Replace damaged and worn ones. Check the tightness of all connections and the carburetor itself.

Step 2

Remove the carburetor and disassemble it. Remove the primary chamber throttle valve vacuum spring. This will achieve a significant improvement in dynamics. Fuel consumption will increase slightly.

Step 3

Convert the secondary chamber throttle actuator from vacuum to mechanical. To do this, remove the spring from the vacuum actuator of this chamber and cut a small piece from it. Straighten the wire and connect it between the throttle lever and the throttle rod as it was done on older Weber carburettors. This will have little effect on improving the dynamics, but the acceleration will become smooth, without failures.

Step 4

Replace the small diffuser of the primary chamber marked "3, 5" with a diffuser marked "4, 5", which you can buy at any VAZ spare parts store. Replace the accelerator pump sprayer marked "30" with a sprayer marked "40" (from the Weber carburetor to the VAZ-2101-03). This increases the dynamics at the start.

Step 5

Install the main fuel jet labeled "125" and the main air jet labeled "150" into the secondary carburetor chamber. For best performance, install jets labeled "162" and "190" respectively. These are the maximum sizes of parts produced for domestic carburetors. At the same time, put the main fuel jet "130" (for the engine 1500) or "135" (for the engine 1600) and the main air jet "170" in the primary chamber. The dynamics will increase significantly, but so will the fuel consumption.

Step 6

The given jet replacement scheme is averaged for all engines and carburetors. To further enhance the dynamics, select the required jets individually for the engine and carburetor installed on the vehicle.
