The popular Niva SUV is widely known and popular in our country. Its main advantage is that the low price is associated with an outdated design, and as a result, with the need for many improvements to ensure acceptable comfort, increase cross-country ability, power, dynamics and other characteristics.

Step 1
Install roof rails or roof rack. This is one of the most inexpensive enhancements, easy to do-it-yourself, and popular for use as a workhorse or travel vehicle. The way it is installed depends on the selected trunk model. To increase the functionality of this enhancement, additionally install a cargo basket.
Step 2
Install an additional fan to cool the engine radiator. This will prevent the risk of overheating the motor in difficult driving conditions. Currently, it is possible to purchase a block of two fans designed for installation on the Niva injection engine, including for self-installation. At the same time, take into account the negative side of this improvement: when overcoming water obstacles, the likelihood of flooding the ignition system significantly increases.

The next improvement in the engine cooling system is the fan (s) control unit, which turns them on when the coolant temperature rises to 97 degrees with the engine off. This will eliminate the risk of residual overheating of the motor and will not require large financial investments.

In order to seriously increase the Niva's cross-country ability, select and install wheels with larger tires and lift the suspension. The operation is not easy, but it is quite affordable to perform on your own. The methods and methods of execution differ depending on the height of the lift.
Step 12
To increase the comfort of the passenger compartment, glue the interior with noise-insulating and heat-shielding materials under the lining of the inner panels. Install improved door seals.
