The main characteristics of the car Lada Granta

The Lada Granta sedan is made on the platform of the previous VAZ model Lada Kalina. The overall dimensions of the car are: length - 4260 mm, width - 1700 mm, height - 1500 mm. Clearance - 170 mm. More than four hundred original components were involved in the assembly of the car, which made the car unlike any other model. However, the appearance of the car is not enough for anyone to delight, but this is not surprising, because Lada Granta was originally conceived as a budget sedan that will replace the classic VAZ 2107. To reduce the cost of the model, I had to save on design. Lada Granté was intended to be a workhorse, so she was prudently endowed with a large luggage compartment with a volume of 480 liters, which can be further increased by folding the rear seats. The model is equipped with an electric power steering.

Lada Granta goes on sale in four different trim levels: norm, standard, sport and luxury. Depending on the configuration, vehicles have different engine modifications, differ in options and even in appearance. So, in the luxury configuration, additional fog lights are provided.

Advantages and disadvantages of the Lada Granta car

The main advantage of Lada Grant is its low price in comparison with other models, available to a wide range of buyers. So, in 2013 it was possible to buy this car at a price of 279 thousand rubles. Car maintenance also does not require large investments, any spare parts are always available. Reviews about Lada Granta are mostly positive, since a rather powerful 1.6-liter engine consumes 7-8 liters of gasoline per 100 km. Also, many consumers like the fact that Lada Granta, like other AvtoVAZ cars, can be tuned. Moreover, tuning can be both external and internal. So, those who like to drive, who have chosen a complete set of sports with a 120-horsepower engine, can increase its power up to 210 hp by installing a turbine. It should be noted that the advantages of Lada Grant are the presence of a large number of galvanized parts in the body and a special anti-corrosion treatment, which, according to the manufacturer, provides reliable protection against corrosion for up to six years.

Among the shortcomings of the budget sedan, there is a large backlash in the steering wheel, poor-quality door handles, the absence of a coolant temperature sensor, and insufficient backlighting. Also, many motorists who bought a new Grant complain about the noise of the gearbox and input shaft bearings.
