Step 1
To get directly to the stove itself, you will have to dismantle the torpedo. This process takes a certain amount of time, so take care of the place where you will dismantle in advance, it is better to put the car in the garage and calmly replace the stove in it. In parallel with replacing the stove, clean all air ducts that tend to clog over time.
Step 2
Remove the pillar trims. To do this, unscrew three self-tapping screws on each side. You will also need to remove the trim part of the steering column, which is attached at the bottom with several screws. The steering wheel also requires dismantling, as it will interfere with the process of removing the panel. Then remove the gear lever ring, which is attached to the regular clips. Try to open them smoothly and neatly so as not to accidentally break.
Step 3
Now remove all the lining on the panel, dismantle the ashtray and cigarette lighter. To remove the side panel overlays, you will have to unscrew the self-tapping screws that are located in the very middle of these overlays. Next, remove the alarm switch, steering column levers and control knobs for operating modes of the stove. They are all attached with small screws that need to be unscrewed. Try to fold all the bolts and screws neatly. It is best to do this on a blank piece of paper where you can mark the location of the screws you removed. It should be remembered that all work on dismantling the torpedo must be carried out with the negative terminal of the battery removed.
Step 4
Now that all the small parts and pads have been removed, you can proceed directly to the process of removing the heating block. To do this, you can completely remove the panel, but you can not do this, so as not to suffer with the reverse installation. Unscrew the self-tapping screws that directly hold the panel body. Then gently pull it towards you. As a result of this procedure, the torpedo should move 10-12 centimeters away. This space is enough to reach the heating unit. It is fastened with several bolts. Remove these bolts, carefully disconnect all wires and air ducts leading to it. Remember that when disassembling and removing any wiring, it is necessary to mark the wires and draw up a detailed connection diagram so that later you do not confuse the connection sequence.
Step 5
Now you can carry out all the necessary procedures with the heating block. All air ducts should also be cleaned. This will significantly reduce the noise of a working stove. Check the integrity of all gaskets. Replace them with new ones if necessary.
