Minor car accidents significantly spoil not only the appearance of the car, but also the mood of its owner, because body work is sometimes not inferior in cost to work on repairing an internal combustion engine. That is why small dents should be repaired by yourself.

Necessary

Two hammers - a rubber and a regular one, a 10 by 20 block of wood and a clean rag

Instructions

Step 1

If the damage is very minor, then you can remove the dent with a hair dryer and a can of compressed air. First, heat the damaged area with a hairdryer.

Step 2

Then squeeze the gas out of the can. This method works for both door dents and bonnet, but only for minor damage.

Step 3

Now let's move on to the serious damage. Disassemble the door trim, remove the door if necessary.

Step 4

Tap the dent from the inside: lightly and gently. If that doesn't work, wrap the bar in a rag and do the same with light movements. Level the metal surface.

Step 5

Polish the surface after repair, re-level if necessary. Polish again.

Step 6

Point the block at the center of the dent and hit it with a hammer. Level the surface by alternately using a block and a rubber mallet. Do not be lazy - polish and check the degree of concavity of the metal.

Step 7

Straighten as much as possible, plaster the surface, putty and apply a coat of primer. Now you can start painting.
