Step 1

To remove the lock from the front door of the car, lift the glass and remove the upholstery. To do this, take a Phillips screwdriver and pry the part that is the armrest plug with it. Remove the plug by hand. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the three fixing screws in the armrest recesses. Insert the end of a slotted screwdriver between the handle trim on the power window and the socket. Separate the handle trim from the socket by pushing them apart. Remove the cladding material of the handle. Pull the socket out of the door and the handle itself. Remove the cladding material from the small locking lever by prying it off with a slotted screwdriver. Using a slotted screwdriver, use a slotted screwdriver to remove the seven plastic clips securing the upholstery on the side of the door. Pull the trim downward and remove it from the inner door handle.

Step 2

Start pulling out the lock. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two rear channel screws located at the end of the door. Lower the lock slightly and remove the tongue from the groove. Move the lock aside. Disconnect the pull of the button closing the lock. Disconnect the switch rod located on the outside of the door.

Step 3

Use a number 8 wrench to loosen the nut securing the front groove. Slide the plastic plug, slide the groove down, and detach it from the pivot window frame. Remove the front channel from the door. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws on the front door handle. Press the handle into the door. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the three screws located at the end of the door and securing the lock. Remove the lock from the door along with the handle and rod. Remove the three retaining bolts from the retainer using a number 10 wrench. Remove the retainer from the lock.
