1. Stop, turn on the warning light (emergency gang) and put up an emergency stop sign.

2. Walk up to the rest of the participants in the accident and make sure that no one needs help. If necessary, call an ambulance at 112 from your mobile phone.

3. Call the traffic police (112 from a mobile phone), write down the names and phone numbers of the accident witnesses. Ask to upload videos from DVRs. Take a photo of the scene with your camera.

4. If your insurance company has an emergency commissioner service, be sure to call him.

5. Do not give any written commitments before the arrival of the traffic police. Do not sign blank sheets and always read carefully what you are signing. If you disagree with something, write “disagree”.

6. The traffic police inspector must draw up a protocol on an administrative offense. The protocol is accompanied by a road accident diagram and an appendix with a description of mechanical damage to vehicles. Copies of the protocol must be handed over to both the victim and the perpetrator. If you are an injured party, be sure to take a copy of this protocol, you will need it when reporting losses to the insurance company.

7. The injured party should not start repairing the vehicle before contacting the insurance company, where an inspection will be carried out and an inspection report drawn up.

8. You can leave the scene of the accident only after receiving the protocol in your hands, otherwise the county can be regarded as “leaving the scene of the accident”.

9. The guilty party must pay an administrative fine if it was issued, and the injured party collects the documents specified by the insurance company and writes a claim for damages. List of documents for the application: passport of the vehicle owner; driver's license of the one who was driving at that moment; PTS; copy of the protocol; power of attorney if you are not the owner of the vehicle; OSAGO policy; bank details for transferring payments.
