First, the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door Coupe became the fastest production 4-seater car on the Nordschleife, and now the German company has rewritten the record for production crossovers.
The 600-horsepower Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S from Brabus, although more powerful than the base 510-horsepower version, is still the fastest serial crossover on the Nordschleife. Driven by Mercedes-AMG engineer Markus Hofbauer, the GLC 63 S covered the 20.8 km lap in 7: 49.369.
The previous record 7.51, 7 belonged to the also 510-horsepower Italian crossover - the achievement of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio has been held since 2017, but this time the more powerful 4-liter turbocharged V8 on the German crossover turned out to be faster than the 2, 9-liter turbocharged V6 of the Italian model.
