Instructions
Step 1
As a rule, after working out the prescribed period, the water pump fails, declaring itself an uncontrolled leak of coolant. As a result, the question of replacing the pump arises before the owner of the car. In order to change a faulty pump of the VAZ 2106 engine cooling system, you must first drain the antifreeze.
Step 2
Using a 13 mm box wrench, loosen the three bolts securing the water pump drive pulley
Step 3
Then, with a 17 mm head, unscrew the generator fixing nut while tensioning the drive belt. Move the generator and remove the drive belt, and finally dismantle the water pump pulley.
Step 4
Using a 13 mm wrench, unscrew the metal bar from the pump, designed to fix the generator while tensioning the drive, V-belt, and unscrew the four nuts securing the water pump to the pump housing. With some physical effort, dismantle the old water pump and install a new one in its place.
The assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
