Audi radio receivers are equipped with an automatic locking system. The media system can be locked after unsuccessful attempts to enter the code, which will be indicated by the inscription SAFE on the display of the radio. The solution to the problem will depend on the type of audio device.
Instructions
Step 1
Audi Concert Plus (Blaupunkt)
After turning on the power of the radio and the inscription SAFE appears, press the RDS and TP buttons simultaneously and hold them in this position until the number 1000 appears on the display. Enter the code using buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4, and press again, holding for 2- 3 seconds, RDS and TP buttons.
Step 2
Audi Gamma CC (Matsushita)
Press the M and U buttons simultaneously after SAFE appears. Keep them pressed until you see the number 1000 on the display. Enter the code, and then press and hold the same buttons again for a few seconds.
Step 3
Audi Navigation Plus (Blaupunkt)
Power on the media system and select a code using the click wheel. After the first digit of the code has been entered, confirm it by pressing the wheel. Enter and confirm the remaining numbers in the same way. Select the OK button from the menu and press the click wheel.
Step 4
Audi Gamma CD 4A0 (Blaupunkt)
After SAFE appears on the display, press the DX, U, M buttons in the sequence shown. Hold them for at least 5 seconds until the number 1000 appears. To enter the first digit of the code, use number 1, repeatedly pressing it will select a digit from 0 to 9. To enter the second digit of the code, use button 2, etc. After the code appears on the display, press the M, U and DX buttons strictly in the indicated sequence and hold them for a few seconds until the SAFE message appears. After a couple of seconds after that, the radio tape recorder will be ready for use.
Step 5
Press and hold the DX and FM ½ keys to enter the code for the gamma, beta and delta series radios. Press and hold the RDS and TP keys to access the code entry for chorus, concert and symphony radios.
