If you decide to sell or dispose of your car, you will need to deregister it. To do this, you need to contact the MREO of the traffic police at the place of its registration and provide a package of necessary documents, and the car itself - for inspection.

It is necessary

  • - a statement with a mark on the reconciliation of numbered units;
  • - passport;
  • - mark of the military registration and enlistment office on deregistration (only for domestic four-wheel drive vehicles, trucks, buses and heavy motorcycles;
  • - technical passport and its copy;
  • - registration certificate;
  • - numbers;
  • - power of attorney with a notarized copy (only if withdrawn by power of attorney).

Instructions

Step 1

Removal of the car from the register is carried out in the order of the general queue. On a working day for MREO, the driver must drive the car to the inspection site. An inspector and an expert will inspect the car, check the VIN and engine number, check the databases to see if it has been stolen.

If it is not possible to deliver the car to the site, you will have to take care of the inspection certificate, which must be received at the place of its actual location.

After the inspection, you need to twist the old numbers from the car, unless it is sold to a resident of the same region (then the numbers can be left by writing a statement about this to the head of the UGIBDD).

Step 2

The application form for the removal of the car from the register can be obtained and filled out on the spot or downloaded in advance on the website of the regional traffic police.

After inspection, a note is made in the application about the reconciliation of the numbered units.

Step 3

The state duty can also be paid in advance through Sberbank by downloading receipts with details and specifying its size on the UGIBDD website, or on the spot, through a terminal or bank branch.

Step 4

Then you should give a package of documents and numbers, if they are handed over, to the traffic police inspector and wait until they call.

Upon completion of the procedure, you will be given a registration certificate and transit numbers, if the car is not removed for recycling or is not sold along with the numbers.

Step 5

Transit numbers, if issued, must be secured with tape from the inside of the glass - on the front from the passenger side, on the back - from the driver's side.
