Do not forget to also check such important indicators as the source of the pulses from the motor, the wiring that connects the motor to the sensor and the measuring device. As for the frequency of impulses, their number must necessarily be a multiple of the speed card. Problems with them will also indicate wiring faults. You can find out about this problem from the readings of the tachometer itself. If you feel that he has begun to show you the "weather", then it's time to check his systems for defects.
Step 3
To repair the tachometer, you need to remove the dashboard and only then carefully try to examine everything. If, as a result of inspection on the wiring, you reveal cracks or other similar problems (non-contact, etc.), they must be soldered. When performing soldering work, be sure to follow safety precautions and follow all steps according to the instructions.

If you are confused by the sensor readings - the arrow jumps back and forth, check the sensor itself. After all, it is not at all a fact that the breakdown is directly in the tachometer. Perhaps you only need to replace this outer part and everything will be fine.

However, if the tachometer continues to show you incorrect information, and an external inspection did not reveal anything, then it is best to take the car for service. Let the experts take a close look at your problem and fix it. Most likely, they will offer you to replace the defective part with a new one.
