Most ordinary drivers do not need extreme driving skills, they are rarely needed. However, in rare cases, they can save the life and health of the driver and passengers. There are many different extreme driving techniques, some of which are easy to learn.
Instructions
Step 1
Before learning extreme driving, decide which car you will be driving it. Rear-wheel drive cars are considered to be the most efficient in driving. However, for inexperienced drivers, driving in extreme conditions can be dangerous, and accelerating and cornering in such vehicles requires skill. Front-wheel drive vehicles are very limited in scope and prevent the driver from efficiently performing extreme maneuvers. Finally, 4WD cars are fairly balanced and easy to drive, but only if they have an active center differential.
Step 2
Extreme driving primarily involves constant monitoring of everything that happens around your car. Watch how the drivers of other vehicles behave, this will allow you to avoid many troubles. For example, sudden braking of vehicles in front can cause a collision with them. Always watch the behavior of the drivers in front of you, slow down if they make sudden or spontaneous maneuvers, even if they are far from you. Try to constantly look out for ways out of potentially dangerous situations. Often such paths cannot be found, especially on busy roads, in which case use paths that will lead to the least damage.
Step 3
Learn to use the brake pedal correctly. With ABS in place, many drivers are accustomed to relying entirely on it. Meanwhile, in extreme conditions, it can significantly reduce the car's handling. Sharp braking performed when approaching corners at high speeds or when it is necessary to avoid obstacles is especially dangerous. Try not to press the brake pedal to the floor, press it smoothly, even if you have ABS. Use an open area to learn proper braking that will keep you safe in most extreme situations. Practice braking until you feel a moment when the wheels begin to slide on the surface. Training must be carried out in different weather conditions.
Step 4
An unexpected obstacle on the road is a situation that requires an immediate response from the driver. In most cases, the first thing an inexperienced driver does is to brake hard. Depending on the weather conditions and the speed of the vehicle, such a decision can only aggravate the situation. The car skids, and the collision cannot be avoided. There are several ways to deal with such cases. For example, the same correct braking that does not allow skidding. This method is most often used on busy roads when there is no way to maneuver. Another method is to avoid an obstacle without using the brake, but this method requires special skills and it is better not to use it without preliminary training.
Step 5
There are also more extreme driving methods, such as turning the car 180 degrees with a small turning radius, controlled drifts, etc. However, mastering such elements requires supervision from experienced instructors. Learning them on your own is very dangerous.
