Parking sensors assist the driver in reverse maneuvers. When approaching any hidden object, the sensor begins to beep and show the distance to the obstacle. Thus, the driver can park in limited conditions.

Necessary

  • Parktronic kit
  • Bekorez
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Drill
  • Insulating tape

Instructions

Step 1

Parktronics come with different displays or with a rear view camera. Displays are rectangular, semicircular, built into the rearview mirror. The displays are mounted on the dashboard or rear window.

Step 2

Route the cable from the display through the passenger compartment into the luggage compartment. Install the parktronic unit in the same place. The luggage compartment will have to be almost completely disassembled for better installation.

Step 3

Parking sensors bump into the rear (or front) bumper of the vehicle. For this, the locations of the sensors are marked on the same line at an equidistant distance. The holes for the sensors are drilled with a cutter that comes with the parking sensors. Sensors are inserted into the holes obtained, and the wires are pulled to the unit in the trunk through rubber plugs.

Step 4

Power is taken from the reversing lamp wire.

Step 5

If a parking sensor with a monitor is installed, then a rear-view camera cuts into the number frame, which transmits the image to the monitor.

Step 6

Parking sensors come in two colors: black and silver. Black gauges can be painted to match the bumper color.
