Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the necessary tool for work. You will need wrenches, socket heads, and screwdrivers. Then loosen the clamp that secures the sleeve to the air filter. Disconnect the air inlet hose from the filter connection.

Step 2

Remember that there are triangle marks on the spigot and on the edge of the sleeve, which are necessary for correct assembly. Make sure that these marks coincide during further assembly. Disconnect the air inlet hose clamp that secures it to the throttle assembly.

Step 3

It is not necessary to remove the sleeve, but it will facilitate the process of further work. Take a screwdriver and use it to gently pry off the retainer of the wiring blocks that connect to the air flow sensor. Having snapped off the holders, remove the block. Pull the filter up and remove the pins that are installed on the bottom of the rubber cushions.

Step 4

Remove the rubber bracket from the front of the filter housing. At the same time, remove the inlet pipe from the muffler neck. After that, carefully lift the filter and remove the ventilation hose, which is located on its body. To do this, squeeze the clips that secure the hose and disconnect it.

Step 5

After that, unscrew the nuts that secure the filter housing and remove the plate located inside. Then carefully detach the air filter case. Remember that spacer sleeves are often fitted in the rubber housing gasket. Be careful when removing the housing to avoid dropping it into the carburetor neck, which could cause serious damage. You can remove the bushing from there using a magnet previously attached to a small wire. Install in reverse order, paying attention to defects and rectifying them.
