Often, the cause of a malfunction of the cooling system of a VAZ car is an airlock, which can be recognized by a characteristic sound that resembles a gurgle. When the first signs appear, it is necessary to immediately remove air from the system, as it can cause rust and corrosion.

It is necessary

coolant antifreeze

Instructions

Step 1

Constantly pay attention to the dashboard, where there is a coolant temperature gauge. If the arrow is close to the red zone, then immediately check the system for faults. Please note that a malfunction of the system due to an air lock leads to such unpleasant consequences as overheating of the engine.

Step 2

Stop the engine and wait until it has completely cooled down. If the overheated engine does not stop immediately, working on pseudo-hot ignition, stop it forcibly by smoothly depressing the gas pedal to the floor. First of all, check if there is any coolant leakage, which leads to air congestion. If the leak is not eliminated, air in the system will appear again and again in place of the "leaked" antifreeze.

Step 3

In the event that you did not find any damage, remove the cover from the expansion tank and try to "expel" the air from the system by pressing the upper and lower hoses.

Step 4

Try another option for getting rid of air congestion - running the engine at idle. To do this, lift in front of the car as high as possible, having driven onto an overpass or a hill, and “pogazyte” well. This method is used by many drivers.

Step 5

After the air has been removed from the system, fill with coolant to the required level. Having filled in antifreeze, wrap the expansion tank cap as tightly as possible, since a weakly twisted cap can allow liquid expanded from heating to pass through.
