Remove the cap from the expansion tank and quickly squeeze the upper and lower radiator hoses several times. This will help remove air pockets that may have formed during a complete coolant change. Place the cover on the expansion tank.

Step 2

First of all, check the tightness of the cylinder head bolts, pump mounting bolts and hose connections. Then check the hoses for damage. If any of these deficiencies are present, then air has entered the cooling system. Eliminate the detected malfunction - tighten the bolts, change the hose.

Step 3

Check the cylinder head gasket or tube end for damage. Check the cylinder head for cracks. The presence of these cracks or damage, as well as visible blackening on the metal surface near the cylinder head gasket, indicates that exhaust gases have entered the cooling system. Eliminate the detected malfunction - change the cylinder head or the entire block.

Step 4

Remove the sealed radiator cap. Wait a while. The engine should be idling with a coolant temperature of about 90 ° C until all air is removed from the system. If the cooling system is equipped with a heater, set the heater control to the maximum temperature so that the coolant circulates through the heating system.

Step 5

After removing air from the cooling system, add the required amount of coolant to the radiator and expansion tank.
