After replacing antifreeze in the engine cooling system, as a rule, there are places filled with air in it. As a result of the formation of air locks, the circulation of the coolant is disrupted, which leads to overheating of the motor. And if the water pump is unable to remove air from the cooling system on its own, it needs help.
Necessary
screwdriver
Instructions
Step 1
Air, in relation to the liquid, always tends upward, and therefore, it will accumulate at the top point of the engine cooling system. To free the water jacket of the engine and the heating system of the car interior from air jams, the hood in the car rises, and after the engine has cooled down, the cover is removed from the expansion tank.
Step 2
At the same time, the heater radiator valve opens completely. Then on cars of the "classic line" VAZ in the engine compartment with a screwdriver, the tightening of the clamp of the upper pipe of the stove is loosened. After that, the branch pipe is moved by hand, and air is removed through the opened hole, and when antifreeze begins to flow out, it is put into place, and the clamp is tightened on it.
Step 3
In the next step, the clamp is released on the intake manifold pipe located below the carburetor, and the air lock is removed from there in the same way.
Step 4
On vehicles with injection engines, air from the cooling system is removed after disconnecting the pipe on the throttle assembly. The technology of this process is similar to that described above.
Step 5
After removing the air plug, do not forget to bring the coolant level in the expansion tank to normal.
