Sony car radios are a fairly high quality product. However, one does not always want to pay for the services of a specialist to install a new audio system in a car. You can do this work yourself.
It is necessary
- - insulating tape;
- - screwdriver.
Instructions
Step 1
Check the polarity alignment before connecting the audio system to the battery. This is necessary in order to avoid unpleasant situations associated with a deterioration in sound quality, or failure of a new car radio. By observing the poles, you will get the most optimal sound power.
Step 2
Select the connection method for the car radio. One way is to connect through the car's cigarette lighter, and the other is to connect using the ignition switch. Keep in mind that the positive connector of your wire must be stranded and copper. The recommended length of this wire should be as short as possible, and the cross section should be at least 4 millimeters.
Step 3
Connect all the speakers in your car to your car radio before connecting the speakers to power supplies. Experts recommend using in this case specialized acoustic wires, which are slightly higher than usual, but are of high quality
Step 4
Connect the car radio to the antenna of your car. There is a special blue (white-blue) wire for this. When doing this, keep in mind that you cannot use a power consumer greater than 300 mA.
Step 5
Install an additional fuse at a distance of 40-50 centimeters from the positive (+) terminal of the battery. The fuse will protect the radio from kinks and overheating. The wire that you will use in this case must be well insulated so that in case of contact with the negative terminal, it does not cause a spark and a fire hazard. Connect the negative wire at a close distance from electricity consumers, in no case resorting to all kinds of twisting. Attach the car radio frame to the car console panel.
