Car varnishing requires a lot of practical experience from the painter, knowledge of the process and the characteristics of the materials used. The lacquer coating is made on top of the paint, protects it from temperature and ultraviolet effects, gives the painted product a beautiful appearance.

- - several aerosol cans with car varnish;
- - sanding paper;
- - duct tape.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash your car before painting. Perform the operation at temperatures above 12 degrees in a well-ventilated area, protected from sunlight and wind. When performing a partial varnishing, glue the area to be treated with a sticky adhesive. Carefully cover the tires and shock absorbers when processing the fenders.
Step 2
To remove the old coating, sand the surface to be treated with a damp sanding paper # 360. Continuously squeeze a wet sponge over the sanding area to moisturize. Submerge the sponge in water and let it completely saturate with water. Then carry out a final wet sanding with 600 grit sandpaper. Also sand the border varnish and varnish splashes with it. The microscopic scratches remaining after it are almost invisible.
Step 3
Clean the sanded surface from grease and silicone with a special cleaning liquid. Clean the adjacent surfaces 20 cm wide with the same liquid. Note that sagging is always formed on the border between the surface to be repaired and the original varnish. Therefore, try to keep the repair site limited to the nearest trim strip or body edge. To prevent dust from settling, dampen the floor with water.
Step 4
Practice applying the coating first. Make sure the surface to be varnished is dry and free of dust. If possible, blow it off with compressed air. Shake the aerosol can vigorously for 3-5 minutes before use to prevent drips. Apply the first portion of the varnish to a piece of cardboard to remove metal particles deposited on the riser tube.
Step 5
When varnishing large areas, apply the material crosswise, starting off the surface and continuing to spray in the other direction, ending from the outside. Paint small spaces in a spiral pattern, twisting it from outside to inside to avoid overspray. Move the can at a uniform speed and at the same distance from the surface (about 25 cm).
Step 6
Apply at least four overlapping spray strokes for a discreet transition to a branded varnish. In this case, each spraying should increase the previously applied layer by 2-3 cm. When spraying at a close distance, with too slow or uneven movement of the can, sagging is inevitable.
Step 7
Apply each subsequent coat with a 5 minute pause to evaporate the solvent until sufficient varnish is achieved. Shake the spray can after each coat. Remove all protective coatings immediately after finishing work. Dry the treated surface. Use strong photo and reflector lamps to speed up drying. Never use a fan for this purpose.
Step 8
Dry the varnish for at least 48 hours. Then gently remove the sprayed mist on the adjacent surfaces with a soft polish and cotton swab. Only polish in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
