Many car enthusiasts have experienced scratches on their car. Scratches can appear for a variety of reasons: it can be a minor accident, an accidentally dropped object, or the driver just slightly caught on when driving out of the garage. To return a scratched car to its previous appearance, it is not at all necessary to go to the workshop, because it is enough to touch up the scratches yourself.

- - paper or film;
- -dye;
- -drill with grinding wheel;
- - polishing cloth;
- - grinding paste;
- -primer;
- -halogen lamp;
- - varnish;
- -small knife;
- -anti-corrosive paint;
- -glaze;
- -small brush.
Instructions
Step 1
Inspect the scratch and determine the extent of damage to the machine. If the scratch is not deep, regular polishing will be enough to remove it.
Step 2
Cover the rest of the machine with plastic or plain paper. This is necessary in order not to stain the car with paint. Apply thinner to the damaged area. This will degrease the surface and remove dust and dirt particles from it.
Step 3
Take a drill with a grinding wheel, on which you put on a polishing cloth. Gently apply sanding paste directly onto the skin. Make sure that the paste is spread evenly in a thin layer. Slowly, turning the drill on and off, wipe the damaged area.
Step 4
Apply a small coat of primer to the scratch. Once the layer is dry, apply another layer on it. This procedure can be done several times. The main thing is that the soil lies evenly over the surface, and does not form defects.
Step 5
Allow the layers to dry well before applying three or four coats of paint. Dry the painted areas. It is best to use a halogen lamp. The fact is that if a painted but not dried area is left in the open air, then various defects may appear on it, for example, shagreen.
Step 6
Once you dry the paint, apply varnish to the treated area. After that, remove the paper or film with which you covered the car.
Step 7
If the scratch is small but deep, you can see that the metal has begun to rust, then first remove the rust from the scratch. This can be done with an ordinary small knife.
Step 8
Treat the scratch with anti-corrosion paint, and cover it with a glaze. Wait for the glaze to harden and apply the paint with a small brush. Then cover the painted area with varnish in the same way.
