An old-style radio tape recorder without a jack connector can be easily converted using simple manipulations. It is not recommended to follow the steps below if your radio is still covered by the dealer's or manufacturer's warranty.

Instructions
Step 1
Remove the radio that you want to remake for further connectivity to the player, tear off the speaker wires from it and solder them together. In this case, it is very important to observe the polarity, plus is soldered to plus, minus, respectively, to minus. Please note that this is far from the only way to connect the jack to your radio, but it is most likely that it will work in most cases.
Step 2
Purchase a 3.5mm jack connector from radio stores. It is best not to use substandard or counterfeit parts, their work is not designed for long-term use. In addition, they may not withstand soldering and break. Do not use connectors from other devices or connectors that were previously actively used to connect to other audio devices, you can damage your radio.
Step 3
To the wires of your radio that are soldered to each other, also solder the connector you purchased for further connection of the player. Please note that here you will also need to arrange the output of the structure to the front panel of the device for more convenient access to the connector. You can also use special extension cables to bring the jack to the front panel of your car, organizing its structure next to the radio tape recorder.
Step 4
Use an alternative way of altering the car radio, if you need to connect a player to it in the future to play the music on it, without removing the contacts. Just solder additional wires to them, which will later contain a connector for connecting a player or any other portable devices with a similar connection interface.
