Step 1
Often there are batteries that cannot be accessed from the banks. Their top cover is sealed, and it is impossible to add distilled water to the battery. The only way to check the charge level in such energy storage devices is to visually check the color of the indicator located at the top.
Step 2
If the indicator is green, then the battery charge is normal. The absence of the indicated color warns of the need to recharge the battery. White color indicates that the level of the filled electrolyte is low and the battery needs to be refilled with distilled water.
Step 3
The maintenance-free battery is disposed of after the white color appears in the indicator. The lids of the cans in the battery being serviced are opened, and the level in them is easily restored.
Step 4
The lead-acid battery is topped up with distilled water only. It is strictly forbidden to dilute electrolyte with sulfuric acid. Otherwise, the destruction of the active mass in the lead plates cannot be avoided.
