The popularity of diesel engines is not surprising: they are economical, they have high torque, and the cost of diesel fuel remains affordable. Currently, diesel engines are installed on various cars, including Gazelles.
It is necessary
- - diesel engine;
- - lifting mechanism;
- - motor oil;
- - instruments.
Instructions
Step 1
Before proceeding with the installation of a diesel engine on a Gazelle, study its design features. Of course, at first glance, the differences between diesel and gasoline engines are insignificant: the same pistons, cylinders and connecting rods. However, in diesel engines, valve parts are somewhat reinforced. Thanks to this, a diesel engine is able to withstand a higher load than a gasoline engine.
Step 2
Note that the diesel engine has separate air and fuel supplies. First, compressed air enters the cylinders and only after it warms up to 700-800 degrees, fuel is supplied to the combustion chamber under high pressure.
Step 3
Having studied the features of a diesel engine, proceed to practice - installing the engine on a Gazelle. This process is almost the same as installing a diesel engine on other brands of cars. First of all, using the lifting mechanism, install the diesel engine in the engine compartment, and first of all, the gearbox housing must enter.
Step 4
Lubricate all fasteners with engine oil, then install them in the grooves and tighten them well. Lower the power unit into the space provided for it. Please note: all guides on the power block must fit into the grooves.
Step 5
After removing the diesel engine from the lifting mechanism, connect the ground wires to the Gazelle body, and then check the gearbox shift mechanism. Then connect the speedometer and reverse sensor wiring.
