The massive popularity of diesel engines in passenger cars is a relatively new trend. The increased interest in diesel engines is explained by innovations in the field of motor engineering: fuel consumption has decreased, their environmental friendliness and dynamism have increased, and many other indicators have significantly improved. Today the diesel is installed on various cars, including UAZ.

Instructions
Step 1
Install the starter motor with the engine front support bracket and tighten all their bolts.
Step 2
Then, using a jack or other assistance, position the diesel engine and gearbox so that the gearbox housing comes in first. In this case, the brackets of the rear supports of the diesel engine must coincide with the points of attachment to the body of the UAZ, and the mounting protrusions should be on the back side of the brackets, which acts as a support for the diesel engine.
Step 3
Install the front cross member. Then lubricate all mounting bolts with engine oil, install them in the grooves and tighten. Remember that no weight must be applied to the crossbeam until the bolts are fully tightened.
Step 4
Install the rubber block in the crossbeam seat, and then insert the fastening bolts from the reverse side of the crossbeam and tighten them. Then lower the power unit to the place provided for it (make sure that all guide protrusions are located on the front support in the special recesses provided for them).
Step 5
After disconnecting the lifting device, connect the ground wire to the vehicle body. Then, check the gearshift mechanism and the operation of the gearbox in a vehicle equipped with a manual gearbox. Adjust the shift cable if necessary.
Step 6
Connect the reverse and speedometer sensor wiring. In the event that this is provided for by the design of the UAZ vehicle, install the clutch slave cylinder and remove air from the hydraulic system of this drive.
Step 7
Add liquid to the cooling system, while observing the required concentration of antifreeze. Then, lay the cable harness away from high temperature parts. Finally, connect the throttle cable and test the operation of the installed diesel engine.
