  • Do not forget to check the condition of the clutch disc friction lining and its thickness.
  • Run very carefully into the engine to avoid damaging the drive shaft, body and clutch when lowering.
  • Do not tighten the engine mount nuts.
  • Raise the car.
  • Install the transmission.
  • Lower the car.
  • Align the engine by nudging. Torque tighten the engine mounts to 45 Nm.
  • Insert and secure the shock absorbers if removed.
  • Turn the earth jumper on the oil sump.
  • Secure the heating hoses connected to the bulkhead with clamps.
  • Insert and secure the coolant expansion tank.
  • Install and adjust the throttle cable.
  • Connect the 2 connectors of the switching unit of the transistor ignition system.
  • Insert a switching relay into the additional relay block. Connect the connector.
  • Connect the electrical wires to the electrical valve. Connect the vacuum hoses to the throttle valve and distributor.
  • After connecting the electrical wires to the ignition coil, put the cap on it.
  • Connect the connector to the generator.
  • Install the radiator.
  • Reconnect all wires, fuel, water and vacuum hoses according to the markings made during removal. Secure the wires and hoses with clamps.
  • Check the level and add oil to the gearbox and engine if necessary.
  • Clean and, if necessary, completely replace the filter element of the air filter.
  • You can connect the wires to the battery.
  • Check the ignition timing and adjust if necessary.
  • Check idle speed parameters, adjust if necessary.
  • Warm up the engine to operating temperature, check the tightness of the joints of all hoses, as well as the coolant level.
  • Check valve clearances.
  • Install the hood.

It is this procedure that is needed in order to install the engine in its place.
