You can make the crankcase protection yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Stock up on a 13mm wrench, 17mm wrench, crankcase guard. You will spend one hour installing the necessary equipment, but will keep the crankcase safe from road bumps for a long time.
Step 2
Follow all the steps according to the instructions, and the successful completion of the operation is guaranteed to you. Unpack the equipment first. Disassemble the kit into its constituent parts. Place metal dies that have threaded holes in the holes of the side members. In them, then you bolt the traverse, designed to secure the protection.
Step 3
Bolt the front section of the engine underbody guard to the monocoque body. Now mount the rear attachment with bolts and nuts with a traverse.
Step 4
Indirectly, the protection will now perform anti-theft functions on your vehicle. After all, it makes it very difficult to access the wires from below, preventing thieves from connecting their equipment to hack your security system. Thus, you also have a shield under the hood that stops dirt, salt, sand and gravel.
Step 5
When choosing a crankcase protection, take a closer look if there are special holes that serve to replace the oil filter or drain the oil. Thanks to this, you will reduce your car maintenance costs. Due to the distribution of the air stream by the crankcase, your car will become more streamlined and its grip will be significantly increased.
Step 6
If you are faced with the problem of a large selection and do not know which equipment to choose (steel, aluminum, titanium, plastic, kevlar, carbon fiber or fiberglass), decide on the main parameter of the device that you need. Chances are, you don't want the most expensive option. Of the three types of crankcase protection (standard, reinforced and sporty), each type is appropriate only in a certain case.
