Step 1
Before driving, start and warm up the engine. At subzero temperatures, the optimal engine warm-up time is considered to be 15-20 minutes. In severe frosts - up to half an hour. If the engine is diesel, then the warm-up time is increased by another 7-10 minutes.
Step 2
Getting in the car plays an important role. When sitting, you should rest your back against the back of the seat. The hands on the handlebars should be slightly bent. With your hands you should freely reach the dashboard, gearbox. Move the seat so that your feet can reach the pedals, without moving the body. In this case, the legs should not be strongly bent at the knees.
Step 3
With the engine running, look at the dashboard. It reflects the current state of the car consumables. If the light is on, oil must be added. Look at the rest of the gasoline, it might be time to go to the gas station. If you have an on-board computer, look at its data. All system errors will be immediately displayed.
Step 4
After the engine has warmed up sufficiently, you can start driving. Turn on the low beam, buckle up, close the central locking. Before starting the movement, look in the side mirrors, make sure that there are no cars on the trajectory of your movement or you are allowed to pass. Turn on the blinker.
Step 5
If you have a manual transmission, depress the clutch, engage first gear, lower the handbrake and, smoothly releasing the clutch, press the gas pedal. Accelerate a little and shift into second gear. Then proceed according to the traffic situation.
Step 6
If you have an automatic transmission, press the brake pedal. Move the transmission handle from the Parking position to the Drive position. Take your foot off the brake pedal. The machine will move slowly. Correct the acceleration of the vehicle with the accelerator pedal.
