And so you bought a good foreign car in Belarus. There are only trifles left - to take it (or drive it) to the house. What to do and what documents must be drawn up so that later there are no problems with the machine?
Instructions
Step 1
You can drive a car from the Republic of Belarus to Russia by rail if you do not want to drive on your own. To do this, book a seat in advance both on the platform and in the accompanying carriage. Bring the car to the station and load it. At the Belorusskaya / Tovarnaya station in Moscow, pick up the car and drive it to another station, or set off on it.
Step 2
Contact the customs office at your place of registration. Apply for a TCP. Submit the following package of documents:
- a contract for the purchase and sale of a car and / or a certificate-invoice confirming the fact of purchase;
- passport with a mark about crossing the border;
- certificate of conformity of the car to the Euro-4 standard;
- transit numbers.
Step 3
Customs officers will check their database when this car was cleared and, depending on the information received, they will tell you whether you need to pay a duty or not. If the car was cleared by customs before January 1, 2010, then it will not have to be entered. If, nevertheless, you bought a car that was cleared by customs after this period, then in this case the duty will have to be paid in full.
Step 4
If you do not have an environmental certificate in your hands, go to one of the pages of the NIIEVMASH website - https://niievmash.ru/?page_id=38 - and familiarize yourself with the list of organizations that will help you get it and, if necessary, re-equip your car
Step 5
Receive PTS. Go to the traffic police department to register your car and get Russian numbers.
Step 6
If you have friends or relatives in Belarus, then you can make a fictitious purchase of a car in their name in order to then receive a general power of attorney from them to drive it. Provided that your car was cleared by customs within a grace period, as well as having a Euro-4 certificate, you may not contact either the customs or the traffic police at all. The only "but": before crossing the border of the Republic of Belarus, you will have to go through a full vehicle inspection.
