During the operation of the car, the density of the coolant poured into the engine decreases. Which leads to the loss of its frost-resistant properties, and, therefore, the moment always comes when it needs to be replaced.
It is necessary
- Antifreeze,
- pelvis,
- rubber or silicone tube,
- flat blade screwdriver,
- 12 mm spanner.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to change the antifreeze in the engine cooling system, the car must be placed on a flat surface. After that, the engine turns off, and in the event that the temperature of the coolant in the engine is high, then it is necessary to wait until the engine cools down to avoid burns to the body.
Step 2
Further, the sequence of actions is as follows:
- the hood opens, - the plug is removed from the expansion tank, - in the lower left side of the radiator, on the drain hole, an elastic tube is put on,
- unscrew the drain plug on the radiator with a screwdriver, - spent antifreeze - is drained into the basin.
Step 3
Then the basin moves under the engine, under the hole designed to drain the coolant from the cylinder block.
Step 4
A brass plug is unscrewed from the bottom of the cylinder block with a 12 mm key and the residual antifreeze is drained into the basin through the opened hole.
Step 5
After draining all the coolant from the engine, screwing the plugs into place, new antifreeze is poured into the engine cooling system through the expansion tank.
