A new category in driver's license will allow you to drive a different type of vehicle. In order to open a category, in most cases it is necessary to undergo training in a driving school, pass practical and theoretical exams, pay all fees and duties.
It is necessary
- - passport;
- - driver's license;
- - driver's card;
- - two photos;
- - receipts for payment of duties and taxes;
- - a document on the passage of training in a driving school.
Instructions
Step 1
Before contacting an educational institution, consider whether you are at the age at which you can qualify for a certain category. If the rights with category A can be obtained already at the age of 16, then obtaining the rights to a car or truck (categories B and C) is possible only at 18 years old. Bus, tram, trolleybus can be operated only from the age of 20. Category E (driving vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers) can be obtained only if you have categories B, C or D in your license for more than a year.
Step 2
Contact a driving school, pay for your course, and attend all lectures and workshops. Please note that categories A and B do not have to take a training course, you can prepare for the exams on your own.
Step 3
Find a set of exam tickets for the category you want to receive. You can buy it from a bookstore or find it online. Be sure to check the relevance of the tickets, they change every year. If you can, learn all the tickets by heart in order to pass not only the internal driving school exam, but also the traffic police exam on the first try.
Step 4
Please note that in some cases the theory exam can be avoided. If you passed an exam for another category no more than three months ago, contact your traffic police department so that its results will be credited to you. In this case, the category for which you passed is important - check with the traffic police department.
Step 5
Take a practical driving test, first at a driving school, then at the traffic police. At the same time, it is necessary to complete three exercises at the autodrome without errors, at the choice of the instructor. Next, you will go to the city and demonstrate your knowledge of the rules of the road and the ability to adequately drive a car in constantly changing conditions.
Step 6
Prepare documents for passing exams and obtaining a certificate. You will need a passport, a driver's card, a medical certificate, a driver's license for the right to drive a vehicle, a receipt for payment of the exam fee and duty, two photographs (if the traffic police department requires them). Get new rights.
