Buying a car can sometimes be quite a daunting task. If you buy in a large car dealership, then in general you do not have to worry about the quality of the purchased goods. Buying a used car is a completely different matter, there is always the possibility of stumbling upon, for example, a stolen or crashed car.
Instructions
Step 1
The more people will assess the condition of the car, the more chances are not to miss the defects that may be found in it. Try to make a purchase with a friend or acquaintance. Thus, you can bring down the price, pointing out the shortcomings found.
Step 2
You can check whether the body repair was carried out by looking at the quality of the painting, there should be no traces of paint except for the body itself. Often, to hide the fact of repainting, various stickers are applied to the body.
Step 3
There should be no smell of gasoline or diesel fuel under the hood of the car, inspect the engine, there should be no traces of oil on it, the presence of crushed nuts indicates that repairs have been carried out. If traces of rust are found at the radiator neck, then the engine has been overheated. Check all rubber parts for cracks. Try starting the engine. If, after making two turns, it does not start, it means that the fuel equipment needs to be repaired, and black smoke from the exhaust pipe also indicates a malfunction of the fuel system.
Step 4
Check the health of all controls inside the cabin - buttons, switches, levers, etc. Defective emergency beacons are sometimes intentionally turned inside out. Check the shock absorbers by swinging the corners of the car, the car should not spring again. Look for defects in the anthers and shock absorbers.
Step 5
The wear of the wheels of the machine must be the same, the discs must not have any impact marks. Also check all the doors, they should close with the same sound. This is not a complete list of possible malfunctions of used cars, but it will also avoid many problems when buying it.
