The carbon-look film is an excellent protective coating for the car, both outside and inside. It is durable, easy enough to stick on and quickly remove without damaging the surface. If desired, you can make a complete tuning of the car with carbon film, and it will look like new. The choice of carbon film colors is extensive and varied.

Necessary

  • 1) 3D carbon look film;
  • 2) technical isopropyl alcohol;
  • 3) squeegees;
  • 4) primer;
  • 5) sealant.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the surface for gluing the carbon film - clean it from dirt and dust, if necessary, degrease with alcohol. Perform work in a warm room, with a temperature of at least 20 degrees, preferably together.

Step 2

Cut off the required piece of film with a small margin and remove the protective layer. Begin to adhere the film to the pre-primed surface (for better adhesion of the film to the surface). To avoid the formation of bubbles under the film, press it from bottom to top in the direction of application and from the center to the edges using a soft and hard squeegee. On curved stamped parts, gently stretch the carbon foil so that it fits into a wrinkle-free shape.

Step 3

Carefully cut off the excess according to the shape of the part to be pasted taking into account the film for the fold (about 0.5 cm). Use sealant at joints and free edges to prevent the film from peeling off. After gluing, heat the carbon film with a special hair dryer to improve adhesion and relieve residual stress, especially on curved surface areas.

Step 4

Leave the machine in a warm room overnight for final adhesion of the film to the surface. Then you can operate the car as usual. Carbon film protects the body from gravel damage on the roads and scratches, does not fade in the sun. The warranty period of the carbon-like film reaches 5 years for outdoor use and up to 12 years for indoor use.
