Lamborghini is taking a new step into the world of custom designed cars with this radically new SC18. The car will not necessarily receive a sequel, but it has already become unique for many reasons.
This is the first car from the Lambo Squadra Corse motorsport division.
For starters, this isn't just another crazy creation from Lamborghini designers. Of course, this time they were inspired by the insanity of the customer, but the design of the car was in synergy with the automaker.
The new product is the creation of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the company's motorsport arm. And the main task was to adapt the racing experience to normal roads.
The hypercar was developed based on the Aventador, but the entire design was approved by an unnamed customer, and the car itself received the SC18 index.
The Extreme Aerodynamics Package includes many features, starting with the bonnet, which features an air intake based on the Huracán GT3 EVO. The Huracán influence can also be found on the flanks and rear wings, pivots and blades, which are inspired by the Super Trofeo EVO. The massive carbon fiber rear wing can be manually adjusted to three different positions for better downforce and smoother top speed.
Inside is the same well-known naturally aspirated 6-liter V12 from Lamborghini. For the SC18, power has been tuned to 770 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque, which are routed through a seven-speed gearbox.
