The renowned Spanish vehicle designer Daniel Garcia has already amazed the world community with his vision for the future of the automotive industry. With the concept car, which is a futuristic Audi A9, he made it clear to everyone that he intends to compete on an equal footing with such recognized leaders in the automotive segment as the Porsche Panamera and Lamborghini Estoque.
The original idea of the author of the design project was not limited to a continuous panoramic roof using a nanotechnological material that can be restored in case of damage due to unauthorized mechanical influences, and the concept's ability to change the light reflectivity and, accordingly, the body color (mutually from glossy to matte). Daniel Garcia very carefully approached the introduction of a modern propulsion system into his brainchild. In this sense, he equipped the Audi A9 with a hybrid engine capable of running on liquid fuel and electricity. Moreover, the electrical structure consists of four independent engines mounted in each wheel of the car.
According to the designer himself, he got inspiration for the creation of the Audi A9 from modern creations of futuristic architecture. For example, he was very impressed by the buildings of La Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) by the architect Santiago Calatrava in Valencia. Daniel Garcia admitted that, having been there, he, as it were, plunged into the atmosphere of the future, at least one century distant from today. His car creation looks exactly the same, which should go into mass production in the near future.
Serial release
Despite the lack of details, it is known that the production of coupes and convertibles of the Audi A9 will take place in Neckarsulm (administrative district of Stuttgart in Germany). According to preliminary information, the starting price should be about 140 thousand US dollars.
Apparently, Audi is seeking to seize the lead in this segment of the automotive market. However, this automotive giant is on its heels with traditional heavy-duty competitors from Europe and America. For example, Mercedes-Benz has already presented its new CL model to the court, and Porsche, Aston Martin and other concerns are not going to surrender their existing positions.
