Step 1
If you lose your vehicle passport (PTS), contact the traffic police with a request to restore it. Take your passport, OSAGO policy and vehicle registration certificate (STS) with you. If the car is old, be prepared for the fact that the staff will ask you to drive it to check the numbering units. Prepare money to pay state fees for replacing these documents.
Step 2
If the PTS was stolen, attach a certificate of termination of the criminal case on the fact of theft to the list of documents. If the title is lost, on the reverse side of the application to the traffic police write: "the vehicle's passport was lost under unknown circumstances, I exclude the theft, date, signature." The restoration procedure is similar to registering a car with the traffic police. Upon completion, you will receive a new title tagged "duplicate".
Step 3
If you lose the vehicle registration certificate, follow the same steps as in the previous case. In this case, the inspection of the car and the reconciliation of numbered units will not be carried out. There is no need to change the state number plates. Attach the TCP to the list of documents, in which a record of the issuance of a duplicate of the STS will be made.
Step 4
In case of loss or theft of a state technical inspection coupon, remember at which point of technical inspection it was received. Contact this paragraph with a request for a duplicate. In this case, go through the procedure for verifying the number units. Take your passport, driver's license, medical certificate, OSAGO policy and money to pay the state duty with you. Receive a duplicate of the coupon for the validity period of the lost coupon. If you remember where the inspection was not possible or it seems difficult to get to this point, go through the MOT again.
Step 5
In case of loss or theft of your insurance policy, go to any office of the insurance company in which you were insured. Be sure to bring your passport with you. Car documents are optional but desirable. According to the data on the car in the electronic database of the insurance company, the OSAGO policy will be restored. If the policy is being restored together with the PTS, please do not indicate the data of the old PTS in the new policy. After receiving a duplicate PTS, enter these data yourself and transfer information about these data to the insurance agent by phone. Usually, insurance companies do not take money for the restoration of the policy.
