The prices for used German cars in Ukraine are quite high. In addition, there is always a high risk of acquiring a car that has been in an accident, which will cause inconvenience and additional costs. Therefore, to buy such a car, it is best to head directly to Germany.
Necessary
- Schengen visa;
- used car dealers' addresses;
- the amount of money is 500 euros more than the estimated value of the car.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the coordinates of car dealerships, car dealerships or specialized stores selling used cars, there are a lot of them in Germany. To do this, use your personal connections or the Internet. At the same time, keep in mind that in stores the price is on average 10% higher, but here the risk of buying an illegal or problematic car is minimized. At a car market, there is always the opportunity to bargain, additionally drop the price, as a rule, up to 15%. Consider this when choosing a place of purchase. At the same time, do not forget that buying a car in a store gives you a price gain due to the German VAT deduction. In Germany, this tax is 19% of the total cost of the car; when calculating the funds for the purchase, be sure to take this nuance into account.
Step 2
After choosing a car, conclude a transaction, confirmed by an invoice or deed, and re-register the documents for vehicle ownership. Do it directly in a store or at a car dealership, Germany has all the conditions for this. Additionally, get auto insurance and transit numbers, which, upon arrival in Ukraine, will be replaced with permanent ones. All this will cost approximately 200 euros.
Step 3
Driving a car to Ukraine is best done through Poland. This will take about 3 days. When entering the territory of Poland, fill out a special European T2 declaration and pay the cost of its registration, which will cost an additional 70 euros. If this is not done, the customs officers from the Polish side will try to provide a police convoy, the purpose of which is to make sure that the car leaves Poland. The cost of this service is 0, 5 euros per kilometer, so do not risk it, since you will have to travel more than one hundred kilometers across the territory of Poland.
Step 4
In Ukraine, go through the customs clearance procedure. To do this, pay a few taxes. Among them: excise duty, import duty, VAT. Based on the results of customs clearance, a certificate of conformity is issued for vehicle operation in Ukraine. The cost of this procedure will be around 100 euros. At the same time, keep in mind that the excise tax depends on the volume of the car's engine and the year of its production, so the amount of customs clearance can vary significantly.
Step 5
After completing all the formalities, register the car with the MREO, where they will issue operating documents and permanent numbers. After that, calmly start operating the car.
