The price of a used car includes the cost of the “ferryman” service. Unjustifiably high prices and a limited choice of cars in the Ukrainian markets contribute to the fact that often the buyer decides to independently bring the car from abroad. The main supplier of used cars to Ukraine is Germany, but there are always people who want to drive a car from another country, for example, from Russia.
It is necessary
- - passport for buying and registering a car,
- - money to pay customs duties for "customs clearance".
Instructions
Step 1
After buying a car in Russia and drawing up a sales contract, remove it from the register and put it on the transit numbers. Deliver the car to the border.
Step 2
Submit an application to the customs authority at your place of residence to issue a preliminary declaration for citizens. Provide the customs authority with full information about the imported vehicle. Include color, make, body, chassis and engine numbers, year of manufacture and year of commissioning, and machine identification number. For prepayment of customs taxes, transfer funds to the account of the tax authority.
Step 3

Pay about 100 euros for passing the procedure for checking the compliance of the vehicle with the standards of Ukraine. Complete this procedure in one of the certified testing laboratories.
Step 5
Register a car in MREO with mandatory payment for it. The amount of payment depends on the year of manufacture of the car and the volume of the engine and in total will be about 1000 hryvnia.
