The market for used cars is very large in our country. This is due to both wages and the amount of customs duties when imported from abroad. To buy a used car, it is important to know some of the nuances. It doesn't matter if you buy it at a flea market or a specialized car dealership.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have already chosen a car, and the previous owner removed it from the register, you need to drive it to the nearest traffic police post. The inspector will check it for theft. To do this, you will have to pay an employee - usually the amount is about 300 rubles.
Step 2
It happens that a car is registered at the time of purchase. You should go to the MREO, where it is registered. The former owner will deregister the car.
Step 3
Almost near every MREO there is a car re-registration point. There you will be issued a "certificate-account" or an agreement. There is no difference between these two documents. Make sure they are filled in correctly. Employees of such services are not always attentive.
Step 4
Be sure to get an insurance policy "ASAGO" after the purchase. In the column "car number" you can indicate the registration number after registration. Usually traffic police officers do not pay attention to this point. You can leave it blank.
Step 5
In order to register the car with the traffic police, you should: - submit all the necessary documents (application, title, receipt of payment of duties, passport, insurance and power of attorney). The traffic police officer will check them;
- after verification, receive the application back;
- go to the inspection site. They will check your car to see if the license plates have been broken.
If suspicions arise, the car will be sent for examination;
- after the inspection site, go back to the MREO. Give all the same documents, wait two or three hours;
- get a certificate of registration. Set the numbers.
