For a reliable ride in winter, every car enthusiast should change their car tires from summer to winter, and best of all, if the winter tires are studded. Unfortunately, over time, the studs wear out, but it is too expensive to change winter tires every year, so the studs are often restored.

Step 1
If your rubber is still ready to leave for more than one year, but the spikes on it are worn out, you can always restore them in a special car service or on your own. Purchase special self-tapping screws in the amount of about 500 pieces from a hardware store. In this case, you should choose the smallest ones. Buy sandpaper or emery, as well as a few tapes from your local drugstore.
Step 2
Remove the tires and inspect the studs. At the same time, it is best to use the services of a car service to remove tires. It makes sense to restore the studs when the car has been re-shod for the next summer season, and the winter tires are idle.
Step 3
Take the self-tapping screws purchased in advance and use emery to grind them off a little sharper. Start squeezing out old thorns that are too worn out one at a time. At the same time, try to do it in such a way as not to damage the tire. All actions must be done very carefully, otherwise you risk parting with the rubber forever.
Step 4
Poke through the removed spikes with an awl to clear the hole. Turn the tire out, mark with a marker or chalk the marks of the former spikes.
Step 5
Take a screwdriver and screw in the self-tapping screw so that it comes out strictly perpendicular to the tire itself. In order for the screws to screw in better, you can lubricate the holes with simple machine oil.
Step 6
Turn the pre-studded rubber back with the sharp ends outward. In order not to damage the tire when turning it out, it is necessary to glue it in advance with several layers of plaster over the entire surface.
